School of Applied Sciences

Artificial Intelligence

  • Candidates must possess at least a Lower Credit in a National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science from an NBTE-accredited institution.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum requirements for ND admission and have completed a one-year post-ND industrial work experience.
  • Candidates with a Pass in ND must provide evidence of at least two years of post-ND industrial work experience.  

School of Engineering

Computer Engineering Technology

Civil Engineering Technology

  • Candidates must have at least a Lower Credit in ND from NBTE-accredited programmes in Computer or Civil Engineering.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum ND admission requirements and have completed a one-year industrial work experience.
  • Candidates with a Pass in ND must show evidence of at least two years of post-ND industrial work experience.

School of Environmental Studies

Survey and Geo-Informatics

  • Candidates must have at least a Lower Credit in ND in Geo-Informatics, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, or Cartography and GIS from an NBTE-accredited institution.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum ND admission requirements and have completed a one-year industrial work experience.
  • Candidates with a Pass in ND must provide evidence of at least two years of post-ND industrial work experience.

Application Process for Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic HND Admission

To apply for admission at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic website.
  2. Generate an invoice by providing your phone number and name.
  3. Take the invoice (RRR number) to any commercial bank to purchase an electronic application PIN. Pay ₦8,000, which covers bank charges, to obtain the PIN.
  4. Complete the application form by visiting the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic application portal.
  5. Select “Admissions,” choose “Application Forms,” and enter the obtained PIN to access the application form.
  6. Upload the following documents to the portal:
  • One-year industrial attachment letter.
  • Official ND transcript or statement of result.
  • Photocopy of the registration receipt.

Screening and Important Dates

The screening for prospective applicants will take place on December 3rd and 4th, 2024, at the candidate’s chosen department.

Applicants must appear in person and bring the original copies of their credentials for the screening.

The results of the screening will be published in due course.
