JAMB Registers 1.6 Million Candidates for 2025 UTME, Registration Closes in Six Days
As of March 3, 2025, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has registered a total of 1,687,860 candidates for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The registration, which began on February 3, has seen a steady rise in the number of applicants, with just six days remaining before the deadline on March 8, 2025.
In the past four weeks, the registration process has progressed significantly, with 201,867 candidates registered in the first week, 560,025 in the second, 528,832 in the third, and 1,290,715 by the fourth week. The Board had initially projected that around two million candidates would register this year, a figure consistent with previous years.
Additionally, JAMB has emphasized that there will be no extension of the registration period beyond the set deadline and urged unregistered candidates to complete their registration promptly. The Board also highlighted the importance of using accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers for registration.
The 2025 UTME is scheduled to take place from April 14 to 18, 2025.
