The Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) initiative aims to empower Nigerian citizens with the digital skills required to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
Vision
To create a digitally literate Nigeria where everyone can access opportunities, contribute to development, and secure a brighter future.
Key Programs:
- Inclusion of Digital Literacy in School Curriculum: Collaborating with the Federal Ministry of Education to integrate 21st-century digital skills in school curricula, from primary to tertiary levels.
- Digital Literacy for the Workforce: Partnering with industry experts and public sector leaders to equip the workforce with skills for Nigeria’s digital transformation, culminating in a professional digital literacy certification for global job mobility.
- Digital Literacy for the Informal Sector: Collaborating with NYSC, state governments, and private partners to provide foundational digital skills to citizens across Nigeria’s 774 LGAs.
Training Proficiency Levels:
- Foundational Level: For learners with no prior technology experience.
- Intermediate Level: Building on foundational skills, offering advanced training relevant to study, work, and daily life.
Digital Literacy Competence Areas (Based on NDLF):
- Information & Data Literacy: Ability to find, evaluate, and manage information digitally.
- Problem-Solving: Skills to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Digital Content Creation: Ability to create and share digital content responsibly.
- Communication & Collaboration: Using digital tools for online communication and collaboration.
- Devices & Software Operation: Proficiency in operating digital devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.).
- Safety: Understanding practices necessary to navigate the internet safely.
