JAMB Issues Warning Against Unauthorized Registration Centres for 2025 UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a warning to candidates registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) to avoid unauthorized registration centres. The warning emphasizes that patronizing such centres could lead to the invalidation of their registration.
JAMB’s Public Relations Officer in Jigawa State, Mukarram Adamu, issued the statement on Tuesday in Dutse, the state capital. According to the statement, 1,021 candidates have so far registered in Jigawa for the 2025 UTME and DE, out of a total of 201,867 candidates registered nationwide.
Adamu revealed that registration is taking place at 12 approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the state, which were set up to ensure a smooth and transparent registration process, preventing fraud and irregularities.
“JAMB has assured candidates that it will take every necessary measure to ensure the registration process is seamless,” Adamu said.
He further disclosed that the number of registered candidates is expected to increase as the registration exercise continues.
Adamu strongly advised candidates to use only approved centres for their registration, warning that patronizing illegal operators could lead to disqualification. He also urged candidates to report any suspicious activities or challenges during the registration process, emphasizing JAMB’s commitment to ensuring the exercise remains efficient and fraud-free.
