Kogi Poly Achieves Full NBTE Accreditation,Introduces Eight New Programs
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted full accreditation to Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, alongside 18 programs presented by the institution.
During the 32nd matriculation ceremony, the Rector, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, announced this achievement and revealed that NBTE had also approved the introduction of eight new programs. He highlighted the institution’s 100% quality assurance success for 27 programs, building on the 2022 milestone when all 30 programs presented for accreditation received full approval.
The Rector emphasized that no program at the Polytechnic has been denied accreditation or placed on interim status, attributing the success to the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and stability.
Of the 57 programs currently offered by the Polytechnic, 19 were introduced during his administration, accounting for 33.3% of all programs.
Professor Usman commended the efforts of the Principal Officers, Management, Academic Board, and staff members, including cleaners, drivers, and security personnel, for their dedication during the accreditation process. He expressed gratitude to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for creating an enabling environment that supports institutional growth.
He reiterated his vision of rebranding Kogi State Polytechnic into a model institution admired across Nigeria and beyond.
