MAPOLY Shut Down Following Student Protest Over Results Verification

The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State, has announced the indefinite closure of the institution due to a protest by students.

The protest arose after the school mandated the verification of National Diploma results obtained from students’ previous institutions, a move aimed at curbing the use of fake credentials. The announcement was made by the Head of Public Relations, Yemi Ajibola, in a statement issued to the press.

According to the statement, the decision to close the polytechnic was to ensure the safety of lives and property. The school authorities reiterated their zero-tolerance policy towards fake results.
