Over 1.2 Million Candidates Registered for 2025 UTME, Says JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it has registered 1,290,715 candidates for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) in just 19 days.

Weekly Registration Update

The registration figures are broken down as follows:

  • 201,867 candidates in the first week
  • 560,025 candidates in the second week
  • 528,823 candidates in the third week

UTME Registration and Examination Process

Preparing for Tertiary Education

The UTME registration began on February 3 and will continue until March 8. The examination is a prerequisite for admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Payment to CBT Centres

Supporting Examination Infrastructure

JAMB has paid N903.5 million to Computer Based Test (CBT) centres, with N141 million paid in the first week, N392 million in the second week, and N370 million in the third week.
