UNILAG’s Best-Graduating Students Celebrate Perfect CGPA
Two students from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) have made history by graduating with a perfect CGPA of 5.00 for the 2023/2024 academic session.
Samuel Akinade Badekale and Damilare Haroon Adebakin, both from the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics, were named the overall best-graduating students at the university’s 55th convocation ceremony.Badekale celebrated his achievement on X, expressing gratitude to God and emphasizing that his success is proof that “dreams come true.” He wrote:
“This is a testament that dreams come true! B.Sc Cell Biology and Genetics with perfect CGPA (5.00/5.00) ✅ Overall Best Graduating Student 2023/2024 @UnilagNigeria 🎓 Numerous awards & records broken. God did it! Proverbs 22:29 #unilag #UNILAG2024Convocation.”
The convocation ceremony, which spanned three days, witnessed a historic milestone in the Department of Mass Communication, which produced 18 all-female first-class graduates.In total, 16,590 students were conferred with degrees and diplomas, including 9,865 undergraduates and 6,659 postgraduate students. Additionally, 66 students graduated from the UNILAG Business School (ULBS).This achievement highlights the academic excellence at UNILAG and the inspiring accomplishments of its students.
