UNN Inter-University Transfer 2024/2025

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is accepting applications for its Inter-University Transfer programme for the 2024/2025 academic session. This allows students from other universities to transfer to UNN and continue their studies.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must meet UNN and departmental entry requirements from their current university.
  • A cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.95 on a 5.00-point scale.
  • Students must not have spent more than two academic sessions at their current university.
  • The total number of transfer admissions will not exceed 4% of the departmental quota each year.
  • Applications must include a transcript, which will be verified by UNN.
  • A valid JAMB score that meets or exceeds the UNN admission cut-off for the intended course.
  • Transfers are only allowed for the same course studied at the current university.
  • Transfers are allowed only before the second year of the programme.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in the university they seek to transfer from.

Application Guidelines

  1. Visit the UNN website or portal.
  2. Log in with your telephone number to generate a payment invoice.
  3. Pay the application fee of ₦300,000 through Remita at any commercial bank or UNN Microfinance Bank.
  4. Use the Remita invoice number to complete payment.
  5. Return to the portal to fill out the Inter-University Transfer form using the telephone and invoice numbers.
  6. Print the completed form and submit it to the Registry (Admissions) with:
    • A copy of your O-Level results.
    • A valid WAEC/NECO result checker (scratch card).
  7. Forward the last page of the transfer form to the Registrar of your current university for completion.
  8. Ensure the current Registrar sends the completed release form and transcript to the Registrar, UNN.
  9. Forms not completed online will not be processed.

Important Dates

  • Start Date: Monday, 13 January 2025
  • Deadline: Friday, 31 January 2025

Ensure that all faculty recommendations are submitted to the Admissions Office for collation and Senate Entrance Board consideration.
